Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors as well as strategies in increasing the production of fish farming with the Minapadi system. The research was conducted on the Mina Tirta Pertiwi Fish Cultivator Group in Gunung Salak Village, Selemadeg Timur District, Tabanan Regency. Data from questionnaires and interviews were compiled and then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively so that internal and external factors were found. Strategy is determined by SWOT analysis. The IFAS value of the analysis results is 0.34 and the EFAS is 0.14 and is located in quadrant I between external opportunities and internal strengths. Supporting factors include a large area of ​​land with agricultural functions, abundant water availability, nursery and rearing ponds that are in accordance with technical requirements, government policies and support are quite high and consumer demand is high. The inhibiting factors are pest disturbances that often occur, feed prices tend to be expensive, incompetent human resources, competition between groups and conversion of agricultural land. The strategy carried out in increasing production is by recruiting new group members to increase the area of ​​cultivation, developing hatcheries in nursery ponds and rearing ponds to the maximum and building subak roads and maintaining waterways in collaboration with the government.
