IMPROVEMENT OF BUSINESS COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN ENGLISH, BATIK KEBON INDAH BAYAT, KLATEN

Abstract

The batik industry has a very significant role in improving people's welfare. The cooperative "Batik Tulis Kebon Indah" in Bayat Subdistrict, Klaten Regency, is a business unit that produces batik and has the potential to develop. To serve buyers of batik products from abroad, they need skills in English. The purpose of this service is conduct business English training and improve communication skills in English. The ultimate goal to be achieved is to increase the confidence to communicate in English to increase sales and welfare.After being given English training, the participants showed high enthusiasm and expressed satisfaction with the training. Participants can improve their English language skills in offering their batik products. In addition, participants in the training stated that they were more confident when talking to tourists or consumers from abroad when offering batik products.
